Elon Musk’s Tesla will dive into humanoid robots business.
Tesla plans to manufacture humanoid robots which the founder Elon Musk will announce on August 19th at the Tesla AI Day event, according to people familiar with the matter.
Musk confirmed the date of Tesla's AI Day on his Twitter, which had been introduced as “an event to recruit AI talent” a month ago. Tesla’s Director of AI Andrej Karpathy is going to present Tesla's hardware and software AI plans, including self-driving cars. Other than that, no further detail has been yet revealed. Compared to ‘Battery Day’ that was held in 2020 and ‘Autonomy Day’ held in 2019, it is getting less attention.
However, AI Day will be an event to show off Tesla’s AI capabilities and Musk is expected to present a plan and vision for the ‘humanoid robots’ business.
